Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) is an education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs. It was founded as a drug control strategy for the failed American War on Drugs.

Studies have repeatedly shown that D.A.R.E. was ineffective or that its effectiveness could not be proven. D.A.R.E. America's operating revenue declined from $10 million in 2002 to $3.7 million in 2010 following the publication of government reports that uniformly discredited the effectiveness of the program. In 2001, the Surgeon General of the United States placed the D.A.R.E. program in the category of "Ineffective Primary Prevention Programs".

The D.A.R.E. program has received a substantial amount of criticism since its creation. With this shirt we add some hippy pride to the bad vibes!
